André Butano is a producer and DJ, born in Santiago de Chile. The beginnings of his professional life were in the world of gastronomy.

His studies of international cuisine led him to work in the most famous restaurants of Santiago. It is during this stage, that in the absence of some DJs to play ambient music at the restaurant, that he dares to enter the world of records and mixes. Butano quickly established himself as a talent in Chile’s underground house scene.

He is currently a resident and collaborator at La Feria, the Orly international club in the country and also owns his own label, ‘Cachai Music’. His inspiration comes from artists such as Depeche Mode, New Order, and Kraftwerk. His taste quickly evolved as well as his admiration for local heroes, the national producers Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos and Dandy Jack.

His style is the taste of many since his sets have always been led by tech house sounds and house grooves, supported by strong bass lines, animated percussions, rhythms and organic melodies. The brand that has made him famous has been the use of his own vocals in tracks of his authorship. The tracks of Butano have been published in the most prestigious labels of the scene, such as 8bit, Cadenza, Kling Klong, Circus Recording, Highgrade, Robsoul, Trapez, Resopal, Bla Bla, Mindshake, as well as contemporary labels such as Deeperfect, Relief, NonStop, Roush, Moan, Noexcuse, and Desolat, to name a few.

Butano continues to grow as a DJ & producer as his great passion for music has empowered him more and more in the electronic scene world.
